A company promoting webinars for social media started off their LinkedIn email solicitation with:
'Now that the traditional one-way marketing conversation has become a dialogue, what are you getting from the discussion?'
Aw, c'mon, Free Webinar Guy. 'Traditional one-way marketing conversation has' (NOT) 'become a dialogue'.
One-way marketing is not a conversation. It's a monologue - brand awareness, which can be a good thing.
It's a first step. It's an introduction into two-way marketing - having a dialogue that may lead to a sale.
What matters is having a compelling selling story in both one-way and two-way marketing.
One-way good. Two-way good.
Sales - all good.

Webinar, Heh-heh, that's a funny word.
